Gratitude In The EndgamePosted by Darryl Schoon in Untagged |
As the economic crisis continues, for increasing numbers the Thanksgiving Holidays are no longer considered a time for giving thanks.
This is a mistake. It is when times are the most difficult that the power of prayer and gratitude are both necessary and transformative.
It is easy to give thanks when one's cup "runneth over". It is not so easy when one's cup appears almost empty. I have had a rather varied life and when life has been the most difficult, it was then I discovered that I had to ask for help, i.e. prayer, know that it was coming, i.e. faith, and feel gratitude for what I could not yet see.
I say these words from experience. I have always considered myself fortunate, even in adversity; and, it was in times of adversity that it was most necessary to remember t0 give thanks. It's amazing what happened.
We are not alone. Ask and you shall receive. I did. You will too.
May peace be in your house and may love fill your days.
Good luck,
Darryl Robert Schoon
